The name "Sanxiantai" translates to "Terrace of the Three Immortals," derived from a local legend claiming that three Chinese deities left massive rock footprints on the island. Designated as a nature reserve, the island hosts a rich ecosystem with plants like pandanus, Taiwan date palms, and coastal vegetation. The southern marine area is teeming with stunning coral reefs and tropical fish.
