Located on Taiwan’s East Coast in Chenggong Township, Taitung County, Sanxiantai is renowned for its iconic arch bridge connecting the mainland to an island surrounded by coral reefs and volcanic rocks. Completed in 1987, the eight-arched bridge is designed to resemble waves and evokes the image of a sea dragon. The 22-hectare island, standing 77 meters tall, offers a scenic two-hour loop trail to explore its natural beauty. The island is home to natural formations like the Xian-Jian Gap, He-huan caves, sea erosion trenches, and pillars. In 2019, a sun-shaped wishing mailbox was added, allowing visitors to leave their wishes.
