Interesting Fact

Mount Fuji (3,776 m) is Japan’s highest mountain and a UNESCO World Heritage site. More than 300,000 people climb it every year. Oishi Park in Kawaguchiko offers one of the best foregrounds for Mount Fuji, especially in spring with the moss phlox (shibazakura) fields. The “upside-down Fuji” (sakasa Fuji) reflection forms on the lake in calm weather and is a favorite of photographers.
